Weekly Activities
House Groups
There are two housegroups that meet for are time of fellowship, prayer and bible study in a discussional and informal way. Anyone is welcome to join. Coffee, tea and biscuits provided. They meet fortnightly on a Thursday morning (10.30 to 12.00) and Friday evening (19.30) in the cabin, a building adjacent to the church.
Oasis
Oasis Monthly for the over 60s.
You're more than welcome to Calne Evangelical Church for our monthly coffee morning and lunch.
If you are over 60 and would like to meet some new friends, join us at Oasis.
Oasis Monthly starts with our coffee morning followed by a two course lunch and 'Pause for Thoughts'.
We start at 11:30am and aim to finish at 2:00pm.
Prayer meeting
Prayer Meetings are currently held at the church on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evening of every month.
Prayer is the engine room of the Church, if we want to see God blessing our Church we need to unite in prayer.
Men's Breakfast
A breakfast takes place on Saturday mornings from time to time, for men of all ages, to share breakfast and spend time in conversation and prayer.
Youth Activities
We have a club for every age of child catered to each age specific group
All those involved with running our youth activities are DBS checked and have all relevant safeguarding training
Tots 'n' Dots
Wednesday 9:30-11:30
"Tots" provides children and their carers with a safe place to play together and to make new friends. Each session has a time of free play with a craft area and puzzle table, and lots of toys. There is a time of singing that is fun for the children and parents! Snack time is also on the agenda, offering healthy snacks including fruit and water or squash. Coffee or tea is available for the adults throughout the morning..
Glow
Monday 18:30-20:00
If you are aged 9-12, you can come to Glow until you finish year 7 of senior school. Lots of running around and games surround a short but engaging Bible time. The young people are encouraged to look at the Bible stories and relate them to their lives and situations to see what they can learn and what God can do for them.
Tuesday Club
Tuesday 18:00-19:00
A group for primary school aged children (4-11). Divided into infant and junior groups for some of the evening, the children enjoy singing, games, quizzes, craft and most importantly Bible stories.
Lazer
Thursday 19:00-21:00
Teenagers (11-18) are invited to come to Lazer Club.
We spend the evening playing lots of games, ranging from high-energy team games to calmer activities. We also have a tuck shop for snacks, which is very popular! It's a time where the teenagers can be themselves in a safe space with friends.
Lazer Club is an opportunity for us to share our faith with the young people. We have a short talk during the evening, focused on exploring what the Bible says about issues facing teens today.
Kidzone
Sunday 10:30-11:30
During the second half of the Sunday service children up to the age of eleven years old get the chance to have their own bible teaching presented in a fun and engaging way.
They listen to Bible stories, sing songs, craft and colouring, play games and even some role play.
A creche is available for preschool children
